Our Process

From Questionnaire to Lender-Ready in 5 Days

We handle the research, writing, financial modelling, and formatting. You answer a short questionnaire and receive a complete, SBA 7(a) compliant business plan package ready to submit to your lender.

1

The Questionnaire

Everything starts with a focused questionnaire that takes about 15 minutes to complete. We ask about your business concept, target market, location, ownership structure, loan amount, and intended use of funds. If you're acquiring an existing business, we also ask about the seller's historical financials and the purchase price breakdown.

This is the only input we need from you. There are no follow-up interviews, no back-and-forth drafts, and no lengthy onboarding calls. The questionnaire is designed so that a business owner who knows their concept can complete it in a single sitting.

What makes a good response? Be specific. Instead of “we'll serve food,” tell us “fast-casual Mediterranean with a focus on bowls and wraps, average ticket $14, targeting the office lunch crowd in downtown Austin.” The more detail you provide about your revenue model and operations, the stronger your plan will be.

2

Market Research & Industry Analysis

Once we receive your questionnaire, our team pulls real market data specific to your industry and location. This includes demographic data for your trade area, industry size and growth rates from IBISWorld and Census Bureau sources, competitive landscape analysis, and consumer spending trends relevant to your business model.

SBA 7(a) lenders don't want to see vague claims like “the market is growing.” They want to see the TAM for your specific NAICS code, the population and median household income within your service radius, and how your pricing compares to identified competitors. We provide all of this with sourced data points.

This research also feeds directly into our financial model. Revenue projections are grounded in real market data, not aspirational guesses, which makes them far more defensible when your lender reviews the plan.

3

Writing & Financial Modelling

With your questionnaire answers and our market research in hand, we produce three complete documents. The PowerPoint business plan is a professionally designed deck covering every section an SBA 7(a) lender expects: executive summary, company overview, market analysis, products and services, marketing strategy, management team, and financial projections.

The Word document contains the same content in a clean, text-based format that many lenders prefer for detailed review. Both documents are formatted to professional standards with consistent branding, clear section headers, and properly cited data.

The Excel financial model is a fully built 5-year projection covering revenue by stream, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, staffing costs, loan amortization schedule, income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet. It includes DSCR (debt service coverage ratio) calculations for each year, break-even analysis, and sensitivity tables showing how performance changes under conservative, base, and optimistic scenarios. Every formula is linked. Change one assumption and the entire model updates.

4

Quality Review

Before delivery, every plan goes through a multi-point quality review. We check for SBA 7(a) documentation compliance, ensuring all required sections are present and that the plan addresses the specific criteria lenders evaluate during underwriting.

The financial model is audited for accuracy: the balance sheet must balance, cash flow must reconcile with the income statement, DSCR must be calculated correctly against the proposed loan terms, and all assumptions must be internally consistent. If the numbers don't add up, the plan doesn't ship.

We also review formatting across all three documents: slide layouts, font consistency, chart labeling, table alignment, and print readiness. The goal is a package that looks like it came from a top-tier consulting firm, not a fill-in-the-blank template.

5

Delivery

Your complete plan package is delivered to your email within 5 days of receiving your questionnaire and payment. You'll receive three files: the PowerPoint presentation (.pptx), the Word document (.docx), and the Excel financial model (.xlsx). All files are compatible with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Once you receive your plan, review it thoroughly and share it with your lender or loan broker. If your lender requests changes or has questions about specific sections, we include unlimited revisions at no additional cost. Most revision requests are turned around within 2 days.

If your lender identifies an SBA 7(a) compliance issue with the plan, we fix it for free, no questions asked. We stand behind the quality and compliance of every plan we deliver.

Lender-Required Changes Are Always Free

If your lender requests compliance fixes or formatting changes to the plan we delivered, those corrections are always free. We fix them at no additional cost, no questions asked.
